College Transfer
College transfer By choice
-
- Students are permitted to transfer to another college only once during their studies at the UAEU.
- Students must not have completed more than 50% of the credit hours required for their current degree program.
- Students in Good academic standing may transfer among colleges according to the procedures and deadlines established by the university.
- The transfer may be limited due to instructional capacity or specific regulations held by the college.
- The student must have fulfilled the university admission requirements (therefore, the registrar's office must check related requirements for the admission, like EMSAT and other admission criteria).
Transfer Conditions For national students & children of national mothers
- The student must have completed, with a passing grade, at least 6 credits of transferable college-level courses and achieved a cumulative GPA of 2.3 or higher.
- The student must have completed one Math course, i.e., Calculus I (MATH105) or equivalent, with at least a grade of C or higher.
- For those students who are transferring from colleges that cannot offer Calculus I (MATH105), there should be an equivalent such as EMSAT with 1100.
- The student must have completed Algorithms and Problem Solving (CSBP 119) with a grade of C or higher.
- The student must have completed at least two of the following courses with a grade of C or higher.
General Physics I (PHYS105)
Basic Biology I (BIOC100)
General Chemistry I (CHEM111)
Introduction to Academic English for Information Technology I (ESPU1081)
Transfer Conditions for International students
The student must have completed, with a passing grade, at least 15 credits of transferable college-level courses and achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- The student must have completed one Math course, i.e., Calculus I (MATH105) or equivalent, with at least a grade of C or higher.
- For those students who are transferring from colleges that cannot offer Calculus I (MATH105), there should be an equivalent such as EMSAT with 1100.
- The student must have completed Algorithms and Problem Solving (CSBP 119) with a grade of C or higher.
- The student must have completed at least two of the following courses with a grade of C or higher.
- General Physics I (PHYS105)
- Basic Biology I (BIOC100)
- General Chemistry I (CHEM111)
- Introduction to Academic English for Information Technology I (ESPU1081)
College Transfer By Probation (complete 21 hours and GPA < 2)
- Students placed on academic probation are permitted to transfer between colleges under restricted conditions, provided they adhere to the deadlines set by the university calendar.
- Students must fill out the probation form and then send it to the advising unit.
- The CIT Advising Unit will communicate with other colleges to process students' requests for approval or disapproval.
- Please note that the requested college does the approval of transfer
Internal Transfer Policy
Students currently enrolled in the College of Information Technology (CIT) may apply
to transfer from one major to another within the college. Such transfers are considered
internal transfers. Transfer applications are evaluated based on available capacity,
academic performance, and fulfillment of prerequisite course requirements.
General Conditions
- Students are permitted to change their major only once during their academic studies.
- Students must be in good academic standing at the time of the transfer request.
- Approval of the internal transfer request is subject to the availability of seats in the target program.
- All transfer requests must be submitted within the deadlines set by the university and approved by the College of Information Technology. Please click here for the university calendar.
Transfer to Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Total completed credit hours must not exceed 60 credit hours
- Successful completion of each of the following courses with a minimum grade of B+:
- CSBP119 (Algorithms and Problem Solving)
- Successful completion of MATH105 (Calculus I) or MATH140 (Linear Algebra)
Transfer to Computer Science
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Total completed credit hours must not exceed 50 credit hours
- Successful completion of the following courses with a minimum grade of C:
- CSBP119 (Algorithms and Problem Solving)
- CSBP121 (Programming Lab I)
- MATH105 (Calculus I)
- PHYS105 (General Physics I)
- GEAE101 (Academic English for Humanities & STEM)
Transfer to Information Security
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Total completed credit hours must not exceed 50 credit hours
- Successful completion of each of the following courses with a minimum grade of C:
- CSBP119 (Algorithms and Problem Solving)
- CSBP121 (Programming Lab I)
- MATH105 (Calculus I)
- PHYS105 (General Physics I)
- GEAE101 (Academic English for Humanities & STEM)
- CENG202 (Discrete Mathematics)
Transfer to Computer Engineering
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Total completed credit hours must not exceed 50 credit hours
- Successful completion of the following courses with a minimum grade of C:
- CSBP119 (Algorithms and Problem Solving)
- CSBP121 (Programming Lab I)
- MATH105 (Calculus I)
- PHYS105 (General Physics I)
- GEAE101 (Academic English for Humanities & STEM)
Transfer to Information Technology
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3
- Total completed credit hours must not exceed 50 credit hours
- Successful completion of the following courses:
- CSBP119 (Algorithms and Problem Solving)
- CSBP121 (Programming Lab I)
- MATH105 (Calculus I)
- PHYS105 (General Physics I)
- GEAE101 (Academic English for Humanities & STEM)

- Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee approval; transfer requests are subject to the availability of seats in the desired major.
- Students are encouraged to consult with the CIT Advising Unit before submitting an internal transfer request to ensure eligibility.
