Events and Colloquium

Aims

• Provide updates on the state of the art in different research fields
• Encourage the dialogue across research groups, disciplines, institutions, and with industry partners
• Coordinate research activities to avoid duplication
• Identification of future collaboration partners and opportunities
• Brainstorming and joint discussion of difficulties and open research questions

Contributions

The Colloquium sessions usually have a duration of 40 to 60 minutes. They feature an oral presentation of 20 – 30 minutes, followed by a discussion of approximately the same length. Possible contributions involve the following:

• Reports on the progress and recent outcomes of research activities
• Presentations of potential or actual collaboration partners from the public or private food and agricultural sector
• Discussion and development of ideas for future research projects or experiments
• Senior Project / Master / Ph. D. students presenting their work
• Reports from conference visits, field trips, or project meetings
• Reviews of the contents of recent scientific articles or books
• Presentation of novel research methods or research equipment
• Presentation of innovative strategies for academic teaching

The colloquium does not feature presentations serving commercial purposes, such as the advertisement for products or brands.
