The Strategic Planning Section dedicates its efforts to designing and developing strategic plans in collaboration with stakeholders that support the long-term realization of the university's vision. This is achieved by identifying and monitoring projects and initiatives that align with emerging changes and requirements. The section plays a vital role in ensuring the university's goals are aligned with national priorities and global standards.

Objectives of the Strategic Planning Section

• Designing Comprehensive Plans, Create and regularly update strategic and operational plans that drive the university’s development, ensuring that they enhance institutional performance and meet evolving needs.
  
  
• Alignment with National Priorities, Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure that the university’s strategic direction aligns with Federal Government strategies, national agendas, and aspirations. Evaluate the success of these plans and make adjustments as needed.
  
  
• Engaging Stakeholders, Collaborate with key stakeholders to define roles, responsibilities, and shared goals, ensuring the smooth execution and assessment of joint projects and initiatives.
  
  
• Performance Management Framework, Establish and refine a performance management system to track, assess, and continuously improve institutional performance through regular monitoring and evaluation.
  
  
• Monitoring and Reporting, Track the university’s progress toward achieving key performance indicators and produce detailed, periodic reports to ensure accountability and transparency.
  
  
• Internal Auditing for Accuracy, Implement rigorous internal auditing mechanisms to verify the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of performance data, ensuring that all evidence and calculations meet high standards of excellence.
  
  
• Building Strategic Awareness, Foster a culture of strategic planning by conducting workshops and other awareness programs. This helps unify understanding across the institution, ensuring consistency in performance management and planning processes.
