Information Literacy
Information literacy is one of the most important skills of the 21st century. It is also fundamental for students to achieve other important competencies such as Research and Lifelong Learning, as well as the self-development strand of the Qualification Framework Emirates. Accordingly, it was recognized by UEAU as one of its institutional learning outcomes ILO-3: Locate, evaluate, and effectively use information derived from a variety of sources .
To help UAEU students achieve this important outcome, the Emirates Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment (EILOA) is organizing a half-day workshop on Practical Information Literacy Integration & Assessment. The workshop will focus on the following three topics
- What is Information Literacy?
- How to integrate practical information literacy concepts in our curriculum?
- How can we assess the students information literacy competency?
