Standardizing Presentation Skills
This series of workshops focus on aligning participants to the descriptors required for evaluating academic presentations for students throughout UAEU. Standard communication skills including communicative fluency, accuracy, and organization will be analyzed in the initial workshop. The descriptors will also be used to assess students presentation skills.
In this hands-on workshop, participants will view and assess a variety of presentations using the Communications Skills Speaking and Presentation rubric, which has been developed within UAEU and is based on criteria from the Association of American Colleges and Universities Oral Communication Value Rubric.
Participants will work in small and large discussion groups to compare ratings on a variety of presentations, and so become aligned with the descriptors contained within the rubric.
