Program Review and Accreditation
The Program Review and Accreditation Management System (PRAMS) is an online application
to streamline the periodic program review process for graduate and undergraduate academic
programs.
The system provides academic administrators at the department, college, and university levels with the ability to browse a variety of performance indicators and compare them with other programs and departments, as well as with the college average and University percentiles.
The list of performance indicators are classified according to the following four categories:
Faculty profile |
Research Productivity |
Program Viability |
Course Offering |
PRAMS has an embedded workflow to streamline the review process. The system publishes the annual performance indicators at the end of each academic year. Department chairs are expected to analyze the published indicators and submit a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) to address identified shortcomings. PRAMS guides the department chair in developing the PIP, and ensures that analysis remarks and remedial actions are submitted for each of the performance profiles. The PIP should indicate the required resources and specify the expected implementation timeline.
The developed PIP is submitted to the college dean for discussion and approval. Once approved, the department chair is required to submit a progress report, each semester, for each remedial action recommended in the PIP until all the actions are closed and their impacts are measured. The PRAMS dashboard provide administrators and quality assurance officers with reports and interactive infographics to track down the development and the approval status of the PIP, and the progress of the remedial actions until their closure or expiration.
